bluvikng I would check it with a manual gauge first, too make sure it isn't the dash gauge. With that many miles, it could be several things.

Anyone know how to sell domains

This is my first time on this forum, so hello

I have been learning how to make money from domain names for a while now, and have been desperately trying to find an informative book on the subject.

I ran across the Domain Book:

Buy and Sell Domains for Profit

It really looks excellent. Has anyone here found it good?

Thanks a lot

Scott Free I clicked on this thread because the oil pressure gauge my 1990/2.5 went to the top two days ago. As soon as I let the engine idle, it immediately went back to normal and stayed there for the rest of my drive. Then it did it again yesterday, but stayed high even when idling. I kept it running, and removed the oil filler cap. As soon as I did, the gauge went back to normal, and has so far stayed there.

This all started just after I added a quart of oil. Maybe I knocked a bit of gunk in there and it's clogging something.

I'm going to change the oil and filter to see if it fixes things.

Safetyman87 What should the oil pressure read 93 2.5litre? Just changed the oil in mine and it seems to be a little higher than norm.

This is where I came to the conclusion of swapping the oil pump from

Too much oil pressure
Though less common, too much oil pressure can also create problems. The most likely cause here is a stuck relief valve in the oil pump. If the pressure valve fails to open, pressure can reach dangerously high levels and may rupture the oil filter or force out oil gallery plugs. Replace the pump or valve (if separate) to cure this condition. Other causes of excessive oil pressure can include a restriction or blockage in the main oil gallery, or a combination of tight bearing clearances, high rpm operation and using an oil viscosity that’s too thick.

any and all help is appreciated

oops! 95 yj wrangler 4.0

Yeah, I guess that would make a difference. I have a 95 yj wrangler. It's got a 186,000 miles. Not sure what to do, but know I need to do something.

FYI you should start any post with the basics of what your driving... like 90 yj I6 258 for example, but a high reading of oil pressure is not usually a bad pump. A bad pump is usually no pressure I would suspect your head... how many miles on the engine?

Changing an oil pump, can anyone give advice??

After making the move to New Jersey last week from Virginia I noticed that my oil pressure was running high. It never does this, also there was a knocking that the engine was making. Two sure signs that I either need an oil pump, or a new timing belt. M y guess is that I need a new pump. I can't afford to take it in, and want to try this change out myself. Can anyone give me some inside info, advice, or tell me just what to expect if I try this myself, and maybe any special tools that I would need. Any and all help appreciated!!
