Yea, I have some bump steer. I was going to go with an OTK setup and move the Track bar mount up but got my new axles before I got around to it.
My drag link is near flat, lets say 5 degrees, and my track bar is about at 15-20 degrees. I bet if I could use the steering stabilizer mount location it would be much better. My Track bar is the JKS adjustable.
Oh and for anyone that noticed. I did get around to connecting my steering stabilizer as it isn't attached in that picture. And funny enough I got it inspected like that and they did say anything about it but they did comment on how my steering wheel wasn't straight.

|shrubeck||Rod, do you get much bump steer with that setup? It looks like the track bar is still in the stock location with the flat drag link.|

|TheTJRod||An easy upgrade. Use ZJ V8 stuff. Solid bar instead of hollow. uses bigger TRE's, look at your drag link TRE they are all that size. Also there is an adjustment sleeve on the tie rod for easy alignments. I had the crown hd kit, before I changed my knuckles, which is the same thing. I got both at home unused, will try to remember to take some pics for you.|

|Cons_Table||Not bad lookin setups. I just went with a replacement tie rod for now. I bought the iron rock HD tie rod and its a beast. The only downside to it are the TRES. They are still stock size. This has it's ups and Downs, but if/when something breaks I will upgrade once again. Here is a pic of comparison. The iron rock is 1 1/4" solid...and the stock is like...7/8" (not positive) hollow.|

I got the WJ knuckle swap on mine. I built my own tie rod and drag link. Well really I sleeved the WJ stuff to be able to use on my TJ. They are really hefty now.

This will get you going. Drill out your knuckles to 1" slip in some chevy TRE inserts in for over the knuckle steering. The images are clickable to the store page.

Home Built Tie Rod/Drag-link
So I have been researching Tie Rods and Drag links since I have upgraded to 35s. I am curious as to what it takes to build one at home? I have seen pics of a straight, custom draglink. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction as far as what is involved.
So to help me with reference...here is a pic of TJ steering.
And here is a picture of what I am curious about building...
I noticed that the mounting locations on the second picture are different than the first. Is this because it is an XJ or because the steering is actually changed, I am just a little confused.
