Industrial strength Velcro

It says on the package I used that it takes 24 hours to gain full strength.
In my experience that is true. After that it seems to stick really well.

I haven't had any issues except that one just after I "installed" it. I will tell you when it's hot the flag patch bloats or kind of puffs out a tiny bit, but it doesn't come off at all. Now on a hot day if you tried pulling a patch off that might cause an issue but I haven't changed the patches yet since putting them on.

Just give the panels stuck to the visor a day or so to set. I put my morale patches on a little too early and went to take one off to adjust it and the fuzzy panel started to peal away from the visor a bit. It's fine now though.

Apparently, they do peel off easily. From what I saw, it is easy to take them off. It a pretty simple project but you will be amazed at the difference it makes .. have fun bro

Great idea! So give me the details please. It looks like you stuck the fuzzy softer side to the visor, then do you adhere the plastic rigid side to the back of the patches?

Lusus_Naturae Now that it's getting to be winter again, you can find the foam pipe insulation easily. Buy two of them, and wrap you soft top "L" tubes in the backseat and give the dogs or kids a little extra cushion from hitting their head.

I ran these on the TJ, and I could even fold my soft top down fine with them on (although it does crease the foam if you leave your top down more than a day). My son used to fall asleep in the darnest spots, his favorite was to lean on the bar and nod off - that was even before I put foam on.

Approx cost - $6 for both sides.

Doing the Plastidip to see how I like it since it's easily reversible. If I like, then will consider a more permanent solution.

Mad dog 21 Is the plasti dip or is Bedliner easer to clean? I know plasti dip will flake off and is usually a flat or smooth surface. Bedliner we know is course but I think you need to use a brush instead of rag.

Oh, and a question for all. Plastidip just the letters or the whole grill? Can't decide myself.

I will take some pics,it all turned out better than you might think!

Just so there's no lack of consistency, here's a wave to go with your Super Sized PlastiDip order!

Yay! I did mine in white too and love them--if you decide you like them after a while (I didn't like the feel of the PlastiDip on them) and want it to be permanent, try primer and then appliance spray paint...can of white is $4 at HD, and is cold, heat and water resistant, plus has a nice smooth shine to it.
Don't forget your speakers up top! Congrats on the nice work!

Or just remove it altogether. Having the logo between the grill and hood just looked too crowded to me.

In fact, that's a loser right from the start, for lots of reasons. Someone may sue, but they won't win.
Just checked with a lawyer friend of mine (at the American Legion post here). Said as long as the light STILL LIGHTS UP IN RED and CAN BEEN SEEN FROM X NUMBER OF FEET AWAY it is legal. (The feet many vary by state.). According to him it is the light not the lens that is important.

Nutro Awesome, thanks guys. I'm going to Hydro-dip mine soon so I was hoping it wasn't too involved but it looks simple. Even better.

That's a good price, next time I'm in Wisconsin I will be sure to pick some up .
unfortunately it's a lot more expensive up here. A friend of mine always buys his south of the boarder as well. By for the 1 can I needed I wasn't gonna cry over the price.

I like the idea of just replacing it and not plasti dipping the emblem. Good job!
