If any of you want to sell your seat, I am looking. I would prefer a khaki one, but will take whatever I can get at a good price.

i just leave it folded up full time. i may eventually take it out completely if i need more room than is provided when its folded up, but i like having it there "just in case".
however, unless its a necessity if more than 1 person asks for a ride i tell them its a two seater

|John412||Before I took mine out for good the few people that did ever sit in that rear seat climbed in from the tire. A younger crowd of people this was, not everyone can and will do such things. It really is a joke in a 2dr and the gains in storage are well worth not having to carry extra humans. I have never done it but my roomate did have someone sit in the cargo area. I dont think this is a very good idea in anyway but I guess she had no choice. With the rear seat removed its amazing the cargo area and with the top down its a breeze to take stuff in and out.|

"no need for a back seat in a 2 door. They are 2 seaters"
That is encouraging news. I was so disappointed at the struggle to get into the rear seat in my JK I solved the issue by taking the rear seat completely out. The owners manual, once again, proved to be a marvel of both frustration in that the 'how' it said to do such was of vague and only superficial resemblance to the REAL way it comes out, while it DID lead to a sense of satisfaction in that somewhere along the designer-engineer-tech writer-purchaser chain, there actually WAS a way to accomplish that goal.
Although it took 3 days of different approaches and finally close study of the mechanism in full sunlight to actually glean the solution, I'm satisfied at being able to remove such.
Of related annoyance/relief, was the simple reality the absurd concept the 'tilt/slide forward' passenger contrivance was adequate for regular non-shape shifting humans to somehow ooze into the rear.....

|kansasboy91||If you could make it work it would be pretty sweet, I have to say.|

|ncossey||Im betting no, simply because the locking mechanisms on the 2dr allow it to be removed, and the 4drs do not.|

|01-30-2011 07:27 PM|
|seadog||I don't think it will work. in a JK, you are sitting between the wheelwells. In a JKU, you are in front of them.|

|MTH||I don't know for sure, but I'm going with "no way." I have a JKU and sat in my dad's JK just last week. His rear seat is A LOT smaller than mine.|

Rear seat question
So I used the search feature, but couldn't find anything on this. It seems that 2 door seats are very hard to come by. Would it be possible to put an unlimited rear seat in a 2 door wrangler? For comparison purposes, I have attached a picture of the rear seat attachment points for the 2 door. If anyone that owns a JKU could take a pic of their rear seat attachments, I'd appreciate it.
