Or you can keep the flange and use a step joint.
Or, combine the exploder shaft with the tj's.
Or, you can simply cheat and by the conversion adapter from spicer for $37 and not have to worry about any real difficult mods.

|rday78||Expensive??? Hardly.... u need spicer part number 2-2-1379 shows up at $37. It just has offset ears so the flange from the ford side can mate with the jeep shaft|

|Ibuildembig||What you need is a step joint, ford on one side and jeep on the other. They make um but they are expensive and are more prone to break. What you really need to do is get an explorer driveshaft and combine it with your jeep one.|

Ford 8.8 install troubles
I've got the 8.8 hooked up under the car. The brackets are on great, everything is connected EXCEPT for the driveshaft. I've got the piece that would connect a ford driveshaft to the 8.8 and on the Jeep, I have an SYE driveshaft. The problem is, I bought a U-joint for the 8.8 driveshaft and its bigger than the SYE driveshaft's u-joint. How have others hooked up their Ford 8.8 to their SYE? Do they make a U-joint that can hook up the Ford 8.8 driveshaft connector to the Jeep SYE driveshaft?? I feel like I'm screwed here lol. Help me out if you can with whatever it is you have done to get your driveshaft to hook up. Thanks!
