NewYJOwner Rocks and Valleys was on Peterson's 4 Wheel Drive Ullimate Adventure 2009 List of places to wheel, along with Drummond Island. Just finished watching the video.

Actually, I haven't been there yet, but it looks like a pretty sweet place to visit. They have some vids on there website. Bundy Hill Off Road - Jerome, MI - ATV/ORV Riding Trails

Lawngnome I was thinking 20-30min close. Sounds to me like Bundyhill is my best bet from where I am. I'm sure Ill get to the others every once in a while but I was hoping there was something little less of a day trip to go there. Forgive me, I'm fairly new to offroading and still learning of the local spots.

Define "close" to Lansing. Mounds, BundyHill, Silver Lake, and R/V are the big names within a reasonable distance. Drummond Island is nice, if you're up for the drive.

There's also some nice stuff in the UP, but that's a hell of a drive unless you've got other business up there or intend to stay and explore for a while.

Lawngnome Thank you, I've actually never heard of rocks and valleys. Ill have to check it out this year.

Michigunman Bundy Hill is 60 miles south of Lansing. Rocks and Valleys is 100 miles north.
Rocks and Valleys - Welcome

Not aware of anything more local to Lansing. Doesn't mean there isn't something.

Daughter and me are anxiously awaiting the April opening of Silver Lake.

sevenservices I like the mounds, lots of stuff to do there for a little cash per day.

Have fun! And, this time of year there is all kinds of snow hills to play on!

Michigunman Silver Lake is a blast but won't reopen until April. Closer to Detroit there is Bundy Hill and The Mounds:

Bundy Hill, west of Ann Arbor

The Mounds, near Flint

JeepAddOns-Chris Silver Lake Sand Dunes is one of the more popular attractions up there.

I live near Detroit, but I'm new to off roading. Any good spots?
