05silver_sport According to the code readers at advance and autozone my speed sensor is bad and needs to be replaced but I don't know for sure since I haven't taken it to a mechanic because frankly I just don't trust mechanics and don't go to one unless I absolutely have to.

Neil F. What exactly is "busted"? Is the sensor bad, not reading or broken? Are you referring to the plastic gear?

s3nt3nc3d This is just a guess...but when I had to replace it on my old Dodge truck, it was located on the tailshaft of the transmission. If yours is thing to keep in mind, when I replaced mine I ended up with transmission fluid pouring out of the hole all over my head. So... don't lay directly under it.
