|lyons38||Good to know...I'm really leaning towards the OME "Light" 2" lift that comes with shocks. I figure I can install myself and will just take it somewhere for a good alignment when finished.|

|doclouie||Most people do not need to do any kind of upgrades with just a 2" lift and they are really cheap. I did it on mine and I would do it all over again as I did not need to do any other upgrades. You can even use you stock shocks with a 2" BB.|

Wish I had an answer myself. Have a 98' Sahara w/ 4.0L and 31's and would love a lift but honestly, the more I read, the more I read about problems after lifts. Like vibrations, the need for additional parts, components, etc and that's what's scary. I don't want to spend the money on just a 2" lift and end up spending a lot more on everything else.
Would be really cool to know what percentage of those who DO lift, have follow up issues? So far, it seems like the high majority?

|Wrangler06||wont need to regear after 31s, ive got 31s on my 2.4L 4cyl and it does fine..deff regear for 33s..im hopefully orderin my lift next week..Rough Country 2.5" lift and keepin my 31s|

Lift Advice, if you would be so kind
I just joined jeep forum 5 minutes ago. After having my ole' gal for over two years now I finally decided to take the big step after I realized that if I was spending too much time on this site anyway looking for advice, I may was well be a member and contribute.
I have a 98 TJ, 2.5L. I currently have stock suspension. I bought new tires a few months ago, out of necessity. I had 215/15/75, moved up to 235/15/75. It was a very good step in the right direction. I would like larger, but those were all the bigger I wanted to go without a lift. I would love to get 33's, but I don't think that this lil 4 cyl of mine could take it. So I guess that I could live with 31's. Good call?
What would you suggest for a lift size? 2 in should be sufficient yes? And type? Spacers? New springs? Like the feel of the stock suspension though... If this going to require a change in gear ratios?
Thanks in advance, and I hope to be writing a lot on this thing. As they correctly say, it's a jeep thing.
