drl650 I tightened mine to a slight compression. I put double nuts on mine so they wont back off.

Skyjacker Hydro 7000 shock installation question

the front shocks come with two small red bushings and two metal washers for compression to install on the top side. No problem with assembly but how tight am I suppose to put this. I can turn the wrench with very little force and compress the red bushings, and if I keep turning them, very easily again I might add, I can eventually almost compress those bushing until they are bulging.

Those bushings are different from the ones I removed. The ones removed were wider and flatter, made of a harder rubber. These have a smaller diameter, are taller, and much, much softer. The ones I removed you can pretty much tell when you are starting to compress, but these new ones, no idea. If I tighten just enough to keep their shape, I'm worried it won't be enough torq on the nut to keep it from backing off. If I tighten enough torq to where it starts giving some resistance, like it's good and snug, what you would expect, the bushings are really compressed. I have no idea if this is good or bad but it seems the bushings are being compressed way to much and I should back the nut off, but backing it off and leaving the bushings in a good visual state just seems to leave the nut too loose.
