|Jma20a||i believe its one of the fuses under the hood of the jeep, and i think its a 20 amp fuse. so open the relay box and check the fuses in there|

Car Stereo Not Working and Instrument Panel Problems
I have a Jeep Wrangler TJ, 2000. The car stereo stopped working about a year ago and I have yet to fix it. I should say that sound doesn't come out of the speakers. The stereo powers up and looks like it works, but no sound comes out regardless of whether it is a CD, tuner, etc. The stereo is an after market model, but the speakers are stock. I'm basically asking if there are any videos out there that can show me how to shoot wires or check the sound bar, etc.
Also, not sure if this is related, but for about 3 years, the car sometimes hard starts. In addition, when it's been raining, the instrumentation and stereo (including turn signals) will sometimes not work. When this happens, the mileage readout will be replaced with the words, "no bus". Usually, these things will be restored after a couple of minutes. I've replaced the battery, ignition switch and the spark plugs to try to fix the problem. I've tried fixing the relay converter thing (not sure of the name) but I needed a factory torque set which I didn't have, so I gave up on it.
I'm somewhat mechanically proficient, I've done basic things like change the top, headlight, battery, sparkplugs, oil, air filter, ignition switch, etc. Once again, just wondering if there are any DIY videos out there that I can follow to test things. Thanks!
