rd-wrangler Would I be rubbing due to the stock backspacing if I put 10.50 wide tires on the stock rims? If I do...can't I just buy wheel spacers?

Undead-89 The biggest I have put on stock was 9.5" I never had any problems with rubbing.

NHrubicon stock rims don't have 3.75 backspacing, so if you are going to order a new one, get all 5. But you CAN find stock CHEROKEE rims with the 3.75 spacing if you check around, auto salvage yards, a cherokee forum, etc. (google search for XJ forums-I can't remember what they are, I think one is NAXJA?) and then you'd have stock rims cheaper than new ones. Ran into this with rims on my YJ...stock rims didn't have the backspace for 10" wide tires, son found me a set of XJ rims to fit.

sbaird yes you can put a 31x10.50 on them.

rd-wrangler Ok cool thanks everyone. Now my next questions are...I can fit 31x10.50 tires on them correct?.... what is the backspacing? Can I just order a cragar wheel 15x7 with 3.75 backspacing? (For my spare)

InfernoGirl Yep, what they both said....

Abomination93 Yes those look like stock jeep wheels just painted black, they were either gray or chrome originally.

4Jeepn might be stamped on the back side or inside of the rim. I will guess no wider than 15x7.

do i have stock 15x7 rims?

i can't tell if i have stock rims or not...i havent seen my rims on any other stock yj yet...just curious if anybody knows or if there is some kind of marking on the rim somewhere....if i was to measure them i would measure from the inside of the rim to the very outside of the rim correct?

tires are P215/75/15 on stock 95 yj
