cpisani89 i feel you, but i left that little bumper part that you can put a trailer ball on..i think that will give me protection..if not i guess that will be the one flaw i suppose..

10huey Real nice work. But...... not to rain on your parade. What happens when your out on the trail and you smash the (*&^&^ out of your rear end and the one thing between a big tree or rock and your bumper is your high lift jack?

Sorry man..

hi-lift jack mount

i got a hi lift for xmas and have been stressing out over where to mount it since i got it..i really didnt wanna keep it inside the cab and i have been hearing mount it here mount it there from various friends..

it came down to mounting it on a bumper but i wasnt sure if i wanted to use the front or rear..then i realized i hate the way those dumbass bumperettes look so after pulling them off i decided it was getting mounted on the rear bump...err uh 'frame' whatever it is you want to call that lol..

being that i work on a cnc laser every day i figured i would make my own brackets and have someone weld them or bend them depending on the application..

found some 3/16" thick inconel 600 laying around enough to create a few brackets plus extra so i went to work..

took some measurements on the holes and spacing on the rear bumper and wrote up two programs as i went the welding route.

here is the brackets welded up and sandblasted:

when i got home i sprayed them up with some flat black paint and went out and bought new hardware as my old ones were really rusty..

since the inner two of the four bolts were so hard to access i didnt finish yet so i dont have it in action yet but im using two ubolts to strap the jack to the brackets and have a bicycle lock im using to deter theives..
