|AzTJ||I don't know if springs from a 4.0L would be any different... but I'd look into a new pack. Either stock height or a bit taller. But a new set of springs is the only cure.|

So what is the suggestion for leafs then. It's currently a 2.5L, non-AC but he wants to put a V8 in there. However, it may be a while before the V8 goes in (he needs to find one first) so I'm not sure if V8 swap style leafs would be a good idea. Would the 4.0L springs be good or not for now.
And yes, they are the original springs.

|AzTJ||My guess is that they are the original springs. He should really think about getting new ones. If they sag too much axlewrap can become a bad thing and, yeah they might even break on him.|

So, how bad is this...
As I've mentioned, on my buddy's 93 YJ, we did a shackle lift on it. His leafs are parallel now...entirely. When installing the front shackle lift, we did the passenger side first and when that got bolted up, the spring section ahead of the axle was actually curved...down. There is practically no curvature to the springs whatsoever, front and rear.
I keep telling him he needs to get new springs but he doesn't think it's needed. I'm worried about two things. First thing I'm not sure if this would happen or not, but could the springs break on a trail or even on the road? Second, because of what I ran into with my Fairlane's sagging (not parallel) rear leafs, I don't see him passing inspection. If situation one or two happens, the result from him will be the same...he'll b**ch up a storm.
