Yes - 3.75 will stick out about 2" more on total width(on the rim lip). The tires will stick out farther depending on width

Triple88a that image AzTJ posted.. with the first offset image is what i'm looking at... negative offset means the bolts are now on the left of the center of the rim (right side being the face of the rim). offset depends on the width of the rim really because the width of the rim plays a really major role. I dont know how wide the stock rim is so i cannot tell you the offset of the stock rims.

Example..
let say you have a 10" rim with backspacing of 4.5".. the center is at 5..so the offset has to be -.5"
Now you have a rim that is 8" wide.. center is 4" so you gotta have +.5"..

Offset it measured in milimiters not inches but the example above is just to tell you that offset is different according to the rim width while backspacing stays the same.. doesn't matter if you have a 8" rim or 15"...

AzTJ Offset is different from backspacing.

The offset is determined from the center of the wheel, front lip to back lip, and then the space between that cent to the mounting surface.

Backspacing is the distance from the mounting surface to the back of the wheel.

With a negative offset, your gonna have a big lip... and with 3.44" backspacing, its gonna stick out really far.

debruins look over one more column to back side, 3.44 i would assume that is what we're used to, and most ppl run either 3.75 or 4.5 so that is gonna stick out even more than the 3.75 and an inch more than what you were looking at

-27 backspacing

Im looking at a set of wheels to potentially pick up tomorrow. They said the backspacing is -27. Which is foreign to me, seeing as I just figured out the whole 4 1/2 backspacing formula. They said it will stick out 1 inch past stock. Can anyone help me out???:chair:
