jrohan07 I went with the K&N air filter and the gibson dual exhaust. If I did not like the looks of the dual exhaust I would have got the gibson single exhaust. The dual gives it a very nice sound and rumble but at 60 sounds almost like there is a small hole in the exhaust. Checked for leaks and did not find any. Had it for 2 weeks now and the sounds seems to settle in.

Emdy I'm basically wanting my exhaust just a little louder but not annoying at all. Just loud enough to hear it better in the cab. And I would like it too have a little more ooopf pulling out. So far the CAI is out which I figured. What is the jet stage 2? What other exhaust does everyone else run? I heard that magnaflow and flowmaster 40s or 50s sound good. What about headers?

I wouldn't even get in for a test drive if he came. That's a sure sign to immediately find another dealership.

I stay away from the K&N filter. It allows too many fine particles into the engine.

richie894 I have done plenty of research recently and the general consensus seems to be that air intakes are not worth it on a Jeep. The stock air filter is good enough. Plus you can suck more dirt, water etc into the engine with a CAI.

I don't have a Superchips - 11 software not out yet. But I have heard very good things about their tuning settings (if you have auto transmission).

Brand New Jeep

I'm new to this forum so I'm sorry if these questions have been asked before. I just got my new '11 Red Sahara Unlimited with hardtop yesterday (after 8 weeks of waiting) and was wanting to do some upgrades. I just can't leave well enough alone. One reason I was drawn to a jeep. I was just wondering if the performance chips, air intakes, and exhaust/headers upgrades where worth all that money? Also I do actually want to upgrade the exhaust but which one wont make it sound like a teenagers little car? It being a v-6 I worry about that. I would love it to have a deep rumble. Its a 6 speed and I'm not used to that 6th gear. I knew from this forum and others that the wranglers were a little underpowered but I think I was expecting more punch off the line. A test drive with the salesman in the backseat is different than when you are alone. Anyways sorry for the book to read and thanks for everyones reply!
