2002Apex I used to have 2in and 31. i also had 15x10 steelies with 4" backspace. I tucked them pretty good.

Walkeraviator heres a question... 2 inch lift, 3.75 back space, 31x10.50... If the tires begin to tuck, do they stick out too far to clear the fender? if i do 4" backspace are they far enough out not to rub something else? The reason I want 2" and just 31" tires is to get as much flex as possible without rubbing.

2002Apex Well, i dont have stock wheels to begin with. Ive got eagle alloy five spoke. If they didnt quit making that rim i would just get the fifth wheel. but i cant find one.

04blackunlimited I have the black steelies 15/8 with 4 inches of BS. Granted I'm running 33/11.50/15 thornies and have about 1 1/2 sticking out.

Chad P Stock wheels FTW

debruins higher bs will pull the tires in towards the wheel wells, however with 4.5" BS you will be rubbing on your control arms when you turn, you need to saty with 4 or 3.75 and either live with it, or get wider fender flares

2002Apex ProComp Xtreme Rock Crawler Series 51 15x8 5-4.5 w/ 4.5inch BS

These are on 4x4groupbuy. what will the 4.5 inches of back spacing do for me???? push out??? do i need to go lower number back spacing or higher?

osbornl1 3.75 and a 10.50 in tire stuck out about 3/4 to 1 inch on my cherokee and my buddies 4banger TJ many years ago ( i bought them from him)

i have 32x11.50 on 3.75 backspaced rims right now and i have a little more than 1 whole tread block sticking out past the fender flares.

Walkeraviator What about 3.75 on a set of 31x10.50? I want it to stick out just a little. I like the wide look.

mrbigjeep i have 4" with 32's

AzTJ 4" wont stick out more than an 1"-1.5" over stock wheels, depending on which he has.
07-23-2007 09:23 PM
mrbigjeep 4" still sticks out pretty far with 32's...but i don't think you can go much higher on the backspacing. i know 4jeepn ran 4.5" but i don't know if you can find that.
07-23-2007 03:14 PM
AzTJ 4" would prolly do it... but any after market wheel will stick out farther than stock.

New Wheels

I am getting some black steelies. I had some on my old jeep, 15x10 cragars. The spacing on the wheel stuck them out so mud went every where when i was offroading. I have stock fender flares on my new jeep and will be riding 32's. What is the best back spacing that will not stick the tire out TOO far.
