HEI install question

I bought the TSP HEI and in getting reay to install, I have one question... Does it matter which side of the plug the ignition (hot) wire goes to? The instructions make no mentoin of this and the wonderful search function wil not search "HEI" on the forums. Just waiting on the new plugs to install, I hope they get here before the weekend. Any other install tips you have would be great... 8 wires and a distrubuter to install is about as simple as it gets.
