Mike750 Naw man I used an aftermarket cheap amp from walmart it's under the back seat can't even see it

Fnx14 True but I'm trying to get around having to get another amp that increases the possibility of theft. Do you know which wires are needed for the stock amp to work. I need all of them, I don't have the stock plug or harness.

Mike750 Do away with the factory 6.5in sub size. An 8in will fit in the same center console box. You have to modify it a little bit but it will fit and sounds alot better than a 6.5in

Fnx14 The thread titled "Replaced My Blown Subwoofer!" has a full write up with sub model number.

Fnx14 I was here for IBOLC, Ranger and Airborne but I'm finished and clearing post. I have a 4" rough country lift, 33x10.5x15 bf goodrich m/t km2 tires, herculined tub, durango steering box upgrade, arb bull bar front bumper, and now trying to put in a sub for more full sound. What have you done so far.

TJDrillSergeant what do you do on benning? what upgrades have you done so far?
02-25-2011 12:45 PM
Fnx14 Yes that's correct, I don't know the model number but it's a pyramid 6.5" and I believe you just hook up the brown and grey wires to the sub. It needs a little work to fit it in the enclosure though.

TJDrillSergeant i read in a forum about a 6.5" sub thats like $10.99. good fit and 100x's better than the factory.

Fnx14 Im also at Fort Benning and trying right now to retrofit in a stock sub enclosure and amp with an aftermarket 6.5" sub. Im now on my 3rd attempt but if it works it should add a little bass and be out of sight in my center console. You could always try this out.

i currently installed a clarion CZ500 with an HD reciever. everything else is factory. im looking for advice on what to do to get a little more bass and better crisp sound without jeopardizing any space. im not looking for window rattling bass. just want a good equal balance. any suggestions?
