SeaComms Your front right tyre is wearing more for the same reason our front left wears more - you corner harder/faster to the drivers side (left turns for you guys, right turns for us down under).

We have a lot of roundabouts to increase this wear to the point I have to rotate my tyres every 5000km (less than 3000 miles).

And I agree - got he adjustable arms as the cam bolts have a tendancy to come loose and move.

WranglerX2008 Thanks so much "tuff2010", I appreciate your explanation and your suggestions!

tuff2010 Your caster, being off a 2/10ths is not going to make your tires wear excessively. Now if it were your toe being off yes I could see uneven wear...

Basically what they are telling you is your right tire sets 2/10ths of a inch further forward than your left...

Instead of buying a "eccentric kit" spend your money on a set of adjustable lower control arms....granted its a bit more, (good set cost 300). You will be able to correct your problem (even if it is slight) and you will also be covered if you ever decide to put a lift on it..

Eccentric kit/cam bolt kit installation neccessary?

Recently I was told the alignment of my Jeep Wrangler X RHD could not be completed, because I do not have the "eccentric kit" installed (front) and the caster (measured left 3.5, right 3.7) is off a bit compared to the specified range (3.7-4.7).
So I was told to buy the kit for $100 and get it installed for extra $150.
They said this is the reason why my tires, especially front right tire, are wearing unevenly. Is this true?
Do I really need this or is someone just tying to make money off me?
I should mention that I drive this Jeep for the Post Office, so I am "off road" quite a bit especially with the front right tire.
Thanks in advance for your help and advice! It is greatly appreciated!
