|rubi06||you dont need a t-case drop for the rubi being that the average jeep has a np 231 trans case wich has a longer shaft out the rear where as the rubi has a np241 that has a shorter fixed output shaft so you dont need a t-case drop for lifts up to 3"|

|wachuko||Sorry for the stupid question... just learning. No need to drop the transfer case if it is a Rubicon because??? What is different from the Rubicon to the normal Wrangler that this step is not required? Again, just trying to learn the why's. Thanks!!|

|JYJeep||My brother in outlaw runs the OME and recommends completely. Therefore, I did the opposite and bought a 3" Teraflex kit (Plus) added Bilstien 5100s, adjustable track bar, steering stabilizer, and 6 of 8 CAs. Check 4x4groupbuy.com and call for price on the kit. Still, would have used the OME if I hadn't gone further with the build.|

|rubi06||Mine is an 06 rubicon I just installed the RCD 3" kit with 32" tries. Very complete kit did not need to install the transfer case drop because it's a rubi|

I don't know what bumpstop length comes with the RCD kit, but I do know what the OME kit comes with.
The OME kit comes with 20mm bumpstops for the rear, which isn't enough. You need at least 1.25". You can make that difference up with fender washers if you like or buy a 2" bumpstop extension and cut it down by hand. Otherwise the shocks bottom out and the rear track bar relocation bracket will hit the underside of the tub floor. Notice I said nothing about tire size.
Again, tire size is independent of lift height.

|Jwyatt||Well I cheated with a three inch body lift.|

That was my thinking as well... If running 35's, go with, at minimum, a 4" lift.
But was just asking since it came up during a conversation with the owner of this Jeep. He checks this thread, so if he wants to ultimately go with 35's the time is now to cancel the RCD order and order a 4" lift kit... but there are additional parts needed that we would have to figure out.
RCD kit for 4" lift - 899.99

Thank you for the info

|05wrangler||i would think that you might need one or two more inches to get 35s to clear in turns. so maybe 5 inches all together, also if you have a dana 44 (witch yours should) then thats ok, a dana 35 will need to be regeard. and a SYE kit and cv driveshaft should be installed. upgrade your braking and stearing sytem also|

He ordered the RCD Suspension 3" Lift Kit with Bilstein Shocks - US$ 699.99. Is backordered so it will take some time to get here...
While we wait, just a quick question that came up. With that suspension setup, what would it take to run 35" tires instead of the 33"?? Justa 1" body lift would do??
And if he goes with 35" tires, what additional changes would be needed to the drivetrain??
and... baby steps, fuel door installed.

Other - Zone Offroad 3" coil kit with Nitro shocks, steering stabilizer, JKS 1" motor lift, shipped for $560.76. Add in Rock Krawler rear adjustable UCAs for $224.57 shipped. Or Currie Enterprise CE-9103 rear UCAs for $258.36 shipped.
The CE-9103s are on the shelf. The rock Krawler's will be 5~7 business days to build. They are slammed keeping up with the Rubicon Express overflow.

|wachuko||I really like the RCD Suspension 3" Lift Kit with Bilstein Shocks if only because of the Bilstein shocks... but being new to Jeeps I have no frame of reference. And it has been difficult to find any reviews on it for Jeeps. Very good feedback on their kits for the pickup trucks.|

Thanks for posting this Jaime. It is good to have a friend like you, Angel, with all his add-ons, and I, with all my questions, really appreciate your help. Guys, I am the owner of the Tomb Raider edition. By my research in the forums I learned thet you guys either love them or hate them (bunch of haters!!!). I just wanted a jeep and found this one locally for a decent price. I Like uncomon cars and this seems to fit the bill. I can only find one for sale on Autotrader.com, and for a lot more than what I paid (and twice the miles). I would like to tastefully modify it, I don't want to copy the real one (at least for now ).
First thing will be the lift and Jaime (AKA: WACHUCO) Kindly offered his help. Then bigger tires, I still don't know if I am going to keep the original wheels on the new tires (open to suggestions). Also a winch is on the list, For know with the stock bumper. What else would you do?
