Rancho RS6208 - RANCHO® RockGEAR™ Oil Pan Protection for 07-11 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
Like the evap skid this one seems like it should be a good quality product, thick, heavy and strong...(is that what she said?)...but anyways...the only thing that I'm concerned about with that cover is that it doesn't bolt on like I thought it did....the part ships with "RTV instant gasket" and you're suppose to glue it, in a sense, to your oil pan and for additional support use safety wire to help hold it up....From reviews that I read about the product no one had anything bad to say about it so when I get it on I'll throw some pics on this same thread and let you know what I think.....

|John412||The RR skid isnt bad for the money, and yes your kinda on your own with the install. Its another must have on any JK that wheels in anyway.|

Rugged ridge evap skid installed
I got the rugged ridge evap skid in the mail today. Rugged Ridge 18003.40 - Rugged Ridge Evaporator Skid Plate for 07-11 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
Very simple install. The instructions are pretty vague but with a little bit of "trial and error" and a 5/8 socket and wrench it goes in place pretty easily.
The quality and durability of the plate seems to be top notch and like the link says, it matches right up with the factory bolt holes in the frame of the JK.
Now all I need to do is throw the oil pan skid on this weekend then it's time to find me some deep ruts!
