Cool. That's probably a warranty thing too.
You'll probably be ok with it. Remans act kinda weird, like shift hard, or they'll shift in a weird spot, but they usually work. So long as it doesn't slip or transfer power bad, you can treat and maintain them as you would a regular automatic.
If you're far into that warranty, maybe 5,000 miles or more you can have the mechanic check it out now. It'll save a trip, and anything bad going on should be showing itself in the pan or mesh by now. But if you only have a couple hundred or so I'd wait.
Another thing I'd try for piece of mind is at 12,000...see if they'll extend the warranty. It's not uncommon for shops to be willing as a reman hitting that marker with no slipping, debris, or fluid discoloration is a strong sign of a good build.
How did the original get messed up?

A little before the warranty is up, return the vehicle to the transmission builder or place you purchased the trans. Have them drop the pan. If there's clutch material, or metal, burnt fluid, whatever...they will see it, and you'll be under warranty still. If the pan is clean, and fluid looks good I'm sure you'll be ok.
Ignore my advice about a flush between 1-2000 miles. I didn't know if you built it or what. I'd do what I said in this post. Reason being is because if you have it flushed and drained, it can be used as an excuse if anything goes amiss with the transmission

I would drop the pan between the first 1,000 and 2,000 miles. You'll know if a headache is in your future by what's in there.
After that, I'd use regular 30,000 mile intervals.
Technically I don't believe a "break in" is required on remans. I would though just to ease my mind the trans was rebuilt correctly
