|Zetsumei||Hmmm... I may order one then. I have a bikini top that didn't fit my TJ (Soundbar was in the way...) So I'll sell it and get a Spider Web TJKini.|

|InfernoGirl||Bubba, you can get vinyl coated fiberglass pet screen at Lowes or Home depot. Or you can mail order it. Google outdoor mesh fabric. I think you'll find the stuff from Lowes is less expensive. Get short bungies at Walmart 4/$2... and grommets at Lowes. Get the biggest grommets you can find to fit the doubled up bungies through.|

|Bubbabuzz||I may wind up trying to make one of the mesh ones. Assuming I can get my hands on some fabric. My project/add on list for my new toy is beginning to grow almost as fast as the list for my 1980 International Scout II did!|

|Zetsumei||How long did it take to get to you after you ordered?|

I can't wait for some nice weather to put it on and try it out.
ordered mine from all things JEEP...
10 bucks cheaper than direct and I believe they have a 10% off deal going on now for orders over $50.

Pavement Ends is Bestops lower end business.
SpiderWebs have gone up since I got mine... As I just told someone, a mesh top is really very easy to make for about half what buying one will run...
Keep in mind, a vinyl top will hold heat in right above your head much more than mesh will.... I didn't realize just how much until rain threatened one very hot day last summer..... It was miserable....

|Bubbabuzz||It seems that it is the lower end version of the Bestop. The customer service tech basically explained it that way without just coming out and saying it. I do like the idea of the Spiderweb Sunshades, but they are almost as much as the Bestops. I also was looking at the Rugged Ridge Island topper, but it seems to be made from the same polycotton material as the Pavement Ends brand.|

|Zetsumei||Isn't the Pavement Ends brand the lower brand of Bestop?|
|03-06-2011 11:08 PM|
|Bubbabuzz||Customer service at JC Whitney says there is a quality difference in fabric. Polycotton vs Bestops vinyl.|
|03-06-2011 11:04 PM|
|Bubbabuzz||There's double the price difference in the Bestop and the Pavement Ends brands. That usually means a quality difference too. I'm not familiar with the tops since this is my first jeep though.|

|Bubbabuzz||Shade and for the occasional TN summer shower cover.|

|InfernoGirl||If you just want shade, look at SpiderWeb sunshades. They are great shade, but promote better airflow and are a cinch to install, can be left on under the top and are a lot less expensive. I understand they now have two different mesh densities to choose from. I love mine, it retains the open air feel, while providing relief from the blistering sun, and off road it catches some of the crap that gets knocked in from the trees...|

Need help on which Safari top to buy?
I just bought a '99 Wrangler Sport with a hard top and am wanting to get a Safari top that provides shade for the front and rear seats. I have looked at several sites and am still unsure of which one is the better choice. I am also not sure of the additional header that I need. The options I have looked at are:
Bestop Safari Bikini Top model# 52530 $92.95
requires part 51210-01 $14.95
Strapless Sun Cap Plus by Pavement Ends part# PAV41530 $44.99
requires part# 51238-01
The Rampage No-Drill Header has two prices but no description of why one's $39.99 and the other is $59.99
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
