blkrubi88 Welcome to the forum! Looks like a nice Jeep to start with. Keep a check on your local craigslist for seats and a used top, if you don't want to buy new ones right away. Fender flares will look good as new with a couple cans of Krylon Fusion Satin Black. Good luck!

Howdy From Long Island

Just popping in to say hello and looking forward to picking some brains.
I bought a 97 TJ 2 days ago, has some small issues but some nice upgrades, and the price was right, here are some stats on the new Rig

4 cyl. 5 speed , just under 101k miles. Black with gray interior. Nice beefy BFG 31" all terrains on upgraded grand cherokee rims. Came with the Kargo Master rack, and husky floor liners, and a decent JVC radio.

Now for what I need to do:
Needs a soft top BAAADDDLY (good frame at least), seats are torn up, and small dent in the drivers fender now getting rusted, some sun fading on hood cowl area and fender tops. Needs a battery ground cable wire, had it home for a half hour and wouldn't start lol.

Its a good starting point for a nice jeep, Looking to fix it up tastefully. Let me know what you think
