Well anytime you pain something always smart to rough up the surface to get the pain to stick properly. And on mine I used the spray in bed liner in a paint can. Turned out great, and almost can mess this paint up washing off road or putting it on.

|Missoulatj||I used a satin finish and really like it, I sanded mine lightly with a fine grit paper. The sanding helps the new paint to stick, you don't have to sand but it will help, make sure you clean them well after, I wiped them down with rubbing alcohol too just to make sure|

I didn't know if I'd like the bezels black (I have a white Sahara and was afraid of the panda look) so not to ruin the bezels I didn't sand them. Painted with gloss black and its held up perfectly for a year now.
I even did a dry run first. I covered them with electrical tape and stared at them for an hour...

Headlight bezzel painting
I want to paint the bezzels but don't know of I have to sand them before I paint them and can't decide wether or not to use gloss and a clear coat. P. O also got some paint on them when they painted the grill. Red 94yj
