SurfnSnow the stock skids are better than nothing but can still be easily damaged if hit just right. I hit a rock on mine and it looked like someone donkey punched my skid plate. The dent was the size of a soft-ball, yeah it was time for something new.

GrnTJ Better than nothing I suppose. My ZJ has nothing there and it always makes me a little nervous when Im wheelin.

AzTJ All TJ's came with one one, and like he said, they off little protection. Mine already has a small dent in it.

dwdrums801 it has one, they all came stock but they offer pretty much no protection off road....

stock skid plate

I have a 99 se and i was looking at my gas tank today and it looks like it has a skid plate on it. Does someone have a picture of they're gas tanks so i could compare? I didn't think the se would come with a gas tank skid stock so i thoght the po might have put it on. thanks for any help.
