2010 Air leak in Soft top

As I reach speeds of 50mph my soft top makes a really loud noise (in the spot right near where it connects to the latch on the passenger side). This just started happening after I put my top down the last time. Since then I have taken it off and readjusted it hoping that I could fix the problem. I also noticed a tiny mark/slight tear on the soft top that doesnt appear to be all the way through as it is not leaking water. It is about 1 mm wide and a half inch long. Is this the reason? Any suggestions?

Is there a way to patch a small tear like that?
