Many people say they can run 285/70/17 without any rubbing while others have claimed they had to use a spacer or new wheel with better backspacing because they rubbed in full turn. So I would say that is the largest you could get but they could rub a little on full turn if you keep the stock Rubi wheel which I assume are the stock 17X7.5 wheels with 6" backspace. 275/70/17 are idea replacements getting you close to stock height(a little larger but not by much) and are wider then the stock but they are hard to find and only a few tires companies carry them. Many use the 265/70/17 which is a little smaller in diameter but not by much but give you a wider stance. The 265 is a very common tire and run a lot cheaper then the 275 and 285.
Hope that helped

Rubicon take-off or 32" tire, thats exactly the answer, for your question or use Google for -JK max tire size-
Read the sticky on "lifts" and you'll see the tire sizes for minimum lifts-

Max Tire Size on 2011 Rubi w/out Lift or Re-Gear
What is the largest tire size I could put on my stock 2011 Rubicon without having to make other modifications? Thanks.
