rics1997 Do have a question though. Most all the other lockers list the 07-11 having 27 spline for the Dana 30 with 3.73 gears but the Eaton listed on Quadratec lists ithe eaton only for 30-Spline Dana 30 with 3.73 for 07-11 JK's

So just wondering if Quad made an error in listing 30 spline vs 27

Well, that is an interest thought. Since I have Trac-Loc with LSD (not that it is as good as lockers) it at least tries and gets traction when one tire slips.

So with that said, my thoughts is putting the lockers up front and the Eaton sounds like it is a good choice for the front. That set-up gives me the benefits of lockers up front and the Trac-Loc in rear which sounds like a good compromise for now

REBEL OFF ROAD ARB's are always our favorite, and we've driven/installed the Detroits in a 2-door JK and they are super street friendly. OX are always a good deal.

Grog Yukon Zip is based on an old ARB design, and not as strong

Ected stay away from. The side gear does not fully engage the axle splines in LSD mode, and the splines get stripped over time

Go ARB or Eaton. I am going ARB. I installed the ARB high output compressor in my engine compartment which makes it easy to air up.

They all don't come with that option, unfortunately. Unless you count the simulated ESP version that uses the computer and the brakes.

Looking at selectable lockers

Well, trying to pick a set of lockers for the rear axles. After talking with the shop today, there are 4 to decide from (if anyone has another you like let me know)

ARB Air lockers
Yukon Zip Air lockers
Eaton Electrically Activated Lockers
Auburn ECTED Electrically Activated Lockers

Of course I know ARB is a great locker and is highly recommended by most that I have talked to. The guy at the shop says the Yukon Zip is a good air locker too at a better price if I wanted something less pricey. Eaton was the first pick using electrical current to lock in while even though we talked about the Auburn because of its low price he wasn't sure it was built as good as the Eaton but never installed them either. One thing I did like about Auburn was that when not locked in, it was a limited slip while the Eaton was open. But the downside was the clutch which will wear over time. Lots of choices.

What is your experience with these or others? Selectable is a must.
