jp2611 Yep ---need to do fenders also, but the hood looks good!!!

adkjoe Just finished putting on the hood at my buddies house. I couldn't get any pics from head on the sun is setting and is shining on the hood and it's blinding, I don't feel like moving it right now either so for now a side pick. I think I'm going to have to paint the grill black to match.

01WranglerGuy Great Idea! Leave it black and clear coat it, then Get the tan lettering to go across the hood Like Wrangler. Just an idea?????

friedfish Don't stop at just the hood. Paint it all flat black!

GoldenSahara00 Bedline the hood and the grill. Sexy

BlackedOutYJ I think it'd look alright if you kept it black but painted the grille black to match also.

adkjoe ^ I'll post before and after.

Actually I have a brand new black passenger fender already that I bought with the hood for $100. I'm not ready to put it on yet but when I do I'm going to have both fenders painted black same as the hood.

jp2611 Need before and after pics-would do a rattle can job on the entire front fenders to go along with the hood gloss or flat-but that is just me.

adkjoe Yup, I just called, I'm going to drop the hood off tomorrow. There going to sand it, paint it black and clear coat it for $100.

Phil05LJ I would leave it black, clear the edges and leave the center raised part flat black so the windshield mounted lights won't have any glare.

adkjoe That's kind of what I'm thinking, leave it black and clear coat it. I think it would look good.

What would you do?

My wrangler needs a new hood. I hit a deer a few weeks ago. I bought a brand new hood in the box and it's primed factory black. I have a tan wrangler with black flares, black softop, and black wheels. My two options are: Have the hood painted the factory tan (it will be the same color but not an EXACT match since I'm not having them paint and blend the fenders as well) or option two: Leave it black, clear coat it and put it on. What would you do? I think they both would probably look good. This is an old pic the rear fenders are black now like the front.
