Mitchness TJs talk about it alot because their skid hangs alot lower than ours. I think it's a good plan to go back to stock shackles if you don't plan on lengthening your DS. However you go about it when you're done your droop and see how much more extended your DS is during just to be safe.

billytheyj So 1" body lift 1" mml, and I will build a trans mount crossmember for in between the frame rails so I can take off the skid with out supporting the transmission and tc, and I will build my own skid... anything else I am over looking?

billytheyj Well I have an sye and cv shaft and lift shackles in conjunction with a leaf spring lift, figure I can take out the lift shackle and put in new stock height shackles and do the body lift and everything else so I don't loose or gain height , but gain the advantages of a tummy tuckall said and done I might have to adjust my pinion angle a bit but not much

MellowYellow89YJ It is simply a raised trans-mount skid. It really makes a body lift worth while. They have them for YJ's but must be used with a body and motor mount lift. Also, if you already have a 4" suspension lift, the tummy tuck will require an SYE and CV shaft, possibly even pinion angle shims.

Engine Mount Lift + Body Lift = Tummy Tuck???

I'm kinda confused on what a "tummy tuck" is and I have only heard TJ'ers talk about them..... what is it, and is it only for TJs. All I have heard is it helps with ground clearence?
