Weed Hopper Geoff, you mention that you can use a seam sealer. I've used a product called Sno Seal to weatherproof leather boots. It's an all natural beeswax product. It works really well to seal up stitching to keep boots waterproof. Would this be safe to use on the stitching of a soft top?

Geoff@Bestop You can use seam sealer. Stuff made for tents will work fine.

Be careful about overall sprays: silicon stuff can be bad for vinyl cloth (and really bad for windows).

Our protectant is a UV inhibitor. It works great. I would assume there are others out there that work great too. Anything made for vinyl cloth (think convertibles and boat "canvas") will be OK to use.

JDsDream You shouldn't have to spray it with anything, it should be good to go. Bestop does make a protectant that can be applied if you want to treat it.

Road_House I wouldn't mess around with weird chemicals. I would just buy the bestop cleaning kit that cleans and protects your top.

soft top spray

Hey all,

I just got my new soft top online the other day and I am waiting for it to get here. I had someone suggest getting weather proof spray or something like that for it. Can anyone help me with this? Anyone done anything along these lines or anything?
