jp2611 Think your fenders are called tube fenders-too early to see straight-and are usually added to allow for more flex out of the axle without tire rubbing.

Zyriana Okay, let's see if this works for posting an image...

Thanks Ageless... nice shades.

BTW Where would I post a pic of my jeep's front "fenders" to find out what the purpose is for them? Yeah, I know sounds really stupid. BUT the person that had my TJ before me did change some things around, and I want to know what the reason behind the "fender" change would be? I haven't seen anyone with the same or similar setup.

Zyriana Thanks Barrie and JP ~

I've heard CA has some great areas to go, so I'm hoping I can go check some out and see what I find. Trouble I'm having is someone to go with. Well, someone who knows what they are doing. BUT - I'm sure I'll figure it out. I guess that is why I'm attempting the club route. Not successful yet on that.

I'll be going through the forum and reading like a "mad woman". Which, is also how I drive. Scary.

Thanks again for the welcome!!

JDsDream Welcome to the Forum

The best way to start is to get involved in some of the local clubs. Check out the California local section of the forum. As far as help with problems, you can post up any questions or concerns you have here under the TJ section and there are lots of great folks who will help in any way they can.

Hey There! New... Really New.

Hi All:

I finally did it - I finally found my Jeep. Last Monday I bought an '06 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. It's been a "I gotta have it!" for years now so I'm really excited.

However...

I have my Toy and suddenly those that said they'd love to assist in teaching, have disappeared. I totally understand. Dealing with a Newbie is probably a pain in the butt. So now what? I want to go play but I have no idea where to start! I don't know what's avail in the area, I have no idea how to use it and I swear it will not be a "paved road only" vehicle.

Any suggestions for a Newbie who wants to go play - AND - learn how to care for the Jeep without having to drive it to the shop everytime there's an issue?
