|JLO||Thanks for the reply Matcheen and Sevensevices. I'm trying not to resort to a manual choke, but if I must, I will. I'll check into the wiring. I just bought this Jeep a few weeks ago and I'm still trying to figure out what has been modified. I pulled the plugs, they look good and new. The cap and wire look pretty new, i have not taken off the cap to look at the rotor, but I suspect its okay too. When its warm, it runs great. Can it be an air intake issue?|

before putting to much into 'er, be sure your battery cables are clean and tight on both ends. A loose connection can sometimes cause you to lose power to the top end and it will hesitate and/or stall.
Wondering when your last tune up was??? Distributor Cap/Rotor/Plugs/Wires?

|Matcheen||Is the choke opening up all the way? Maybe go with a manual choke setup. That worked for me.|

Stallin problem with 89 YJ
I have a question about a...well kinda a starting issue. I had some problems starting the Jeep when it was cold, and keeping it running until it warmed up. I seems it was the auto choke, I rewired it and seems to be working ok, I think. Here is the problem that I still have. When it is cold, that is below about 200 deg. It stalls and wants to die when I press the accelerator. Once its above 200 it works great. Any ideas? I hope I explained that clearly.
Anyone have an idea what is wrong?
