LongShot Looks like Im going to have to Punk OUT...won't have enough time to Jeep this weekend.

I'm on the home stretch of constructing a new trailer for my Jeep. Having it built to haul around quads and sportbikes.

LongShot Greg, Burro Wash sounds good. After thinking things through, Saturday would be better for me.
05-24-2011 10:39 AM
gregaf3 I never joined, I just browsed on some of the other forums/groups. But I am not one for any of the drama.

The boss lady has Friday off to so we might do a quick run either up to Griffith Peak or Mormon Wells on Friday morning if anyone wants to go. We have to be back around lunch time because we want to go watch the hangover 2 before we have to pick the kids up at daycare.

I have been getting more gear, so far I have a hi-lift jack and a C02 bottle that I need to get a regulator for.

I still want to do a run down to Burro Wash is that is something that you guys would like to do next weekend.

LongShot Im working this weekend, but could do some wheelin next weekend. Open to where every, whenever.

I signed up on the meetup.com/desertwranglers forum about a week ago because I'd like to join in on some of their trail rides. But I guess their group is having some problems. The guy that started desert wranglers resigned from Chapman Jeep and quit their club. I seen a lot of talk about presidents, bylaws, being an active member and club business...I don't know, seems like alot of work just to do some trail riding.
05-24-2011 01:10 AM
Ratdaddy No I didn't sell it, had a bunch of tire kickers that's about it. Yeah I'm not big on the club deal either, we'll get hooked up real soon.....
05-23-2011 10:52 AM
SirCanni I'm down for a nice trail run soon! I like wheeler's, just because of my location. But if someone can come up with a trail with similar difficulty and not too far from the NW then let me know. It's prime weather right now for a nice ride.

gregaf3 Hey Ricky

Just been a little busy with the Kids and Family. I have been working on getting some more trail tools together... I was going out with nada.

did you get your old jeep sold yet?

Lets try to get something together one of these weekends coming up.

I have been following some of the more active local stuff on vv4w.com and "DESERT WRANGLERS" A Jeep Wrangler Club (Henderson, NV) - Meetup though it is hard to say just how "clubish" they are. I just want to go on trail runs, just don't have the time or desire to deal with "Club" related stuff.

Ratdaddy What up my brothers? What, did something happen I don't know about? Let's get something cookin!
05-06-2011 04:39 PM
LongShot Yeah I hear ya, everything is better on 2wheels (or 1wheel) no matter what.

Prolly gonna have to pass on Burro Wash this weekend. Some stuff came up.

Good looking out Greg, Burro Wash looks good. I think Im gonna hit it up this Saturday if anyone else wants to wheel.

Its nice to see the Nevada section of this forum finally coming alive.
More practicle then fun! But hey motorcycling is fun no matter what.

I ride a littel 2009 Ninja 250R more for fuel savings 70 MPG. My Other is a 1998 Honda Shadow VT1100c Mainly for travels not for much more 16k and still going.
2009 CRF230L I use for run about and light dirt trail runs. Again fuel savings.

I am looking with in a year to get me a BMW F650 GS to take the place of all the bikes.

I am with you on getting up on time well rested and getting prepared for the ride.

dystynkt Hey guys don't mean to hijack your thread, but I'm out in Vegas pretty often and when I go out end of this month I am going to take the wife out to see the Hoover dam and what not. Hoping to hit some (basic/easy) trails while out that way and make a day of it. Can you recommend any to me? So far only thing I've looked at is the bitter springs trail. Thanks!

NW vegas

Hi Guys new to site but not new to wheeling. I live int he NW Las Vegas.

I am willing to go about any weekend for a trail ride.

My jeep is my bad weather ride DD. I ride a motorcycle most of the time. But I need to rely on my Jeep. With that said I do not get hard core.

I have been across wheelers but do not remember the start only the drive through and end.

I am looking to do a shake down of my jeep accross Mormon wells. Let me know if anyone is interested.

My jeep is a 2005 Rubicon stock other then looks. I Run a simple BFG AT KO.

Let me know I am itching for a drive.

LongShot LOL thanks Rick. Yeah we been together for over 4 years now, so its about time I make her an honest women, hahaha!

Again Logandale sounds good. Just let us know what you find and you can count me In.

Ratdaddy MARRIED! What the heck? Nah just joking, congrats! Yeah that sounds good. I will get some trail info this week for logandale, I've been putting together as many trail maps as I can. I've done a small run up there in my Rhino and the trails were really narrow, so I want to make sure that the trails we pick are wide enough. I'll let you all know....

LongShot billytheyj - My brother step/brother in law has a property up there in elko. We've been talking about jeeping it up there to check out the property and do a little camping. I'll let you know when we get up that way.

Rick - Glad you found the problem with your jeep. Logandale sounds good. The first two weeks of next month looks better for me. Im getting married, soooo the last two weeks of next month are gonna be a little busy. Let's get something going.

04-22-2011 05:34 PM
LongShot Last time we when to do Wheelers Pass, I didn't make it much further than the end of this wash. You can't tell from the pic, but it started to get real sketchy from here with everything being Iced over.

Looking forward to making it thru this time. More than just a trip thru the mountains, this time its a mission. hahaha
04-22-2011 05:25 PM
