deathphoenix99 ^^^I love my HID's, I don't have round fogs, just square driving lights that I installed HID's in, but they make a lot of difference. It's not even comparable to what it was before.

Peepers I had a set of those "$20" lights with the "$8" 150w bulbs... They can not compair to a good set of KCs or Hellas. Its all about the quality of the reflectors, and the cheap ones just can't compair.

Try this: tonight when it gets dark, go into the kitchen and light 2 candles on the table with no other lights on. then turn on the lights. Thats about the compairison between "cheapo" lights and a good set. I like the KC driving style lights: KC HiLiTES 634 Daylighter - 6 In Black 130w Driving Beam Off Road Light System (Pair): Automotive
which would be good for the bumper and the long range: KC HiLiTES 631 Daylighter - 6 In Black 130w Long Range Off Road Light System (Pair): Automotive
For the windshield, so you don't get as much glare from the hood.

I plan up upgrading to HID lights soon, much less amp draw, and brighter light. If you have the cash flow, I would recomend this course as well.

deathphoenix99 Well, I'm not sure if you need Hella or KC specifically, but remember, where ever you mount the lights, they are prone to being broken off as well. They will definitely help you out though in terms of lighting. If you're going to spend that much money on lights, I'd suggest you get HID lights, either the pencil beam or flood style depending on what you want them for. It sounds like you're getting 4 lights regardless, at least the ones up high will help the most when off-roading, now the ones on the bumper, those aren't too bad when you're driving on the road, but if you're getting the 130 watt bulbs, then you won't be able to use them on the road.

Something like this.
2x HID off road light spot 4x4 xenon chrome pre-runner | eBay

6000K HID 4x4 Off Road Offroad Driving Fog Lights Lamps | eBay

Or you can buy any foglight you like and buy HID bulbs and ballasts and convert them over for cheaper.

As for non-HID options, they are bright as well and may be all you're looking for. The better the housing, the more light they will reflect correctly. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't trust any bulb that only cost $8, seems to cheap to be quality, I may be wrong, but that was just my thinking.

Off road lights?

Ok so ive been sittin here for days trying to decide if its worth it or not so i need a little input from people who know.....

Well i want to put 2 lights on the front bumper and 2 on the windshield mounts but trying to decide if i should fork out the money and get either Hella or KC 130watt long range lights for like 180 or 200+ for a pair so thats close to 400 for the whole lighting set I want (figured if im gonna invest money in lights why not go all out and get the brightest) Ok or instead get cheap 100watt lights from advance auto parts ( or local auto parts store) for 20 each and then upgrade the bulbs to 130watts for like 8 a piece so that would be 112 total invested!

Let me know what you think I should do... i know people say you get what you pay for but I mean how often do you run all those lights its my DD so no hardcore off roading in the middle of the night!
