|That99SaharaGuy||Read the thread title, skipped right down to the last post W/O looking at the pics just to tell you that the answer is it is never too much lift!|

|Rcordero||I am running 33 which was okay before the 2 1/2 lift, I dont know if the stock axles could hold 35's. This is my daily driver, I was going to re-gear unless I get some advise.|

|Undead-89||you can have so much lift you can't actually off-road with it without tipping over or having to put on tires so wide you can't fit down any path anyway.|

8" of lift is way overkill unless he only see's street.

|Steelpony||Agreed. Can't have to much lift. But you can have to much for your stock axles to handle depending on what u are going to do with it.|

|Joey||I have an soa,2" body lift and some shackles. Im running 38,s. Shes not the fastest in the world, but it sure does look good. You can never have too much lift.|

|OsageJeep||off-topic..one of my buddies has a TJ with 8" of lift and wants to go from 36" to 33" tires. Am I the only person who thinks that will look goofy?|

|ESP||Yep...needs bigger tires. That is all....|

To much lift? No.
To small of tires? Yes.

|MellowYellow89YJ||That just begs for 35's and new flares.... Is it too much? That is totally up to you and your planned use of the Jeep. I have a 2.5" OME lift, 1/2" shackles, 1" body lift, and I still have the plan to go SOA someday if it becomes more of a trail rig than it is now. That would give me more than 8" lift over stock to fit some big tread under.|

|Rcordero||Here is the 89 YJ with SOA and 2 1/2 lift.|

Here is the entire life cycle of the jeep.
This is when I pick it up in October it was neglected and left for scrap.
Intake (back to OEM)
Roll bar padding and cover
Front and wedge speaker
Shocks (Pro Comp)
BFG 33 KO TA's
Pitman arm (Used)
2 1/2 Leaf Springs
Still needs to do
Break line extenders
Carpet or Spray Liner
Re-gear the rear end
Front shaft drive
Re-gear front end
*picking up the jeep today after the 2 1/2 lift is installed, I will post pics shortly.

Is this to much lift?
bought the 89yj springs where bad (looked old and bent). the jeep already has a SOA lift. I replaced the springs with a 2 1/2 inch Pro Comp Springs. Now I think the jeep is to high? Am I crazy of just in shock on how high it looks. I am running 33 BFG and they look small now. Also wanna know if it safe.
1. leaving and adjusting to a higher jeep
2. buying stock springs and swapping the 2 2/1 out
3. keeping the 2 1/1 and going back to SUA
Really need some help here, kinda new to this jeep thing, and loving it.
