Fredzo If I read all of this right, I'm probably best off using one of the adaptors, because I have tow tabs for an Alladin tow bar on the factory front bumper on my '89 YJ.

I'm leaning toward the $189 jobbie with the brush bar.

Si, or no?

Kind of, there are a few winch mount bumpers out there for $360-$390. We also carry other brand winch plates for a lot less.

It's a 99 TJ.
You will need a mounting plate for the stock TJ bumper.

Peepers Looks like you get 30' less cable, slower cable pulling speeds, less powerful motor with higher gears.

WARN VR series Winches

Got an email from Quadratec this morning introducing the new VR Series winches. Anybody thinking about getting one?

I have been pondering getting a winch for some time now, but had trouble justifying the cost of other Warn products as I do very little offroading and may never use it. I do want one, though, just in case.

This seems like a great compromise. Reputable company, lifetime warranty, etc at a reasonable price point.

What are your thoughts?
