Bosox5 I have the TF 2.5 Coil lift with shocks, rides good and flexes well offroad. TF has great customer service as well. Do the lift right the first time...

Nitto Dune Grappers r the best it's a'70,000'mile tire to and they ride great

TheDoc Yeah, its almost the full size of the radiator.
I took a peek behind the grill, you can only see about an 1" on the sides and a couple at the bottom.

So is there a good sand tyre that fits the 18" rims? any suggestions.

I meant AUXILIARY TRANNY COOLER, which mounts in front of the radiator and I've heard that some of your European countries, have them issued STOCK-

Yea, you'll stay real safe and fairly maintenance fee, under 3" and if you're driving mainly in sand you'll need to try for lower profile tires with a good moderate MT tread-

If you're sporting an auto-gotta have an ax cppler, fairly cheap and NEEDED-I don't remember if we already talked about that-I've been pretty busy here in the rest home

TheDoc Thanks Jim,

Just reading info in forums once you go over 3" you need to deal with driveshafts. Plus we only have sand here so no need to clear bolders or anything, If I take it back to Oz, then i will know what I need for the mud then. Reading some of the Oz forums the Government are trying to ban lift kits all together. I guess to many redneck skyscrapers driving around.

JIMBOX Morning Doc, Teraflex is a top quality co. and they have a No. of lift options-I chose RC, because I had the best coils and all I wanted was 2.5" lift-steel-BINGO-

You're smart to stay around 2.5", cause these JKUs will start having trouble when you go over 3" lift and 33" tires-being "over there", you have to be very careful in your choices-

Here, if something goes wrong, you just order a replacement/go to WalMart/Kragen and it's fixed-I don't evny you !

TheDoc Thanks Jim,

I have been doing as you said and I think being over here in the Mid East that the teraflex would be the better option quality wise. Also just going up 2.5" I wont have to mess with the drive shafts on the JKU. But being a tight arse 99bucks seemed better that 700.

The guys here only import a certain few kits so I will see about getting somethng flown over... if i go the cheaper option....

Having a Rubicon, I already had the stiffest and fairly new coil springs, so I wasn't gonna change them and 4wdparts had a sale, almost 2 years ago--for just RC STEEL 2.5" spacers ($99), I didn't trust their shocks and decided that the RC9000XL adj, shocks would be the best for my jeep/trailer uses-

It's worked out great, but since every jeep is a little different, you may need new trackbars and different shocks/w new swaybar links-so

Google JK/JKU lifts 2.5" and you'll get pages of ideas and mfgs

KyaKobi, who is doing that or where are you getting that lift from in UAE, just curious I am in Oman and will be doing same soon.

Is that a LOD front bumper on your rig ? Looks great !!

joe002 I have that same lift with 35s - I have the 4 door version as I have a winch and metal bumpers F/R. I added an adjustable track bar front and rear (I didn't use their rear bracket). I also had to trim my stock sliders. Nice lift.

I think the Teraflex lift is a good choice. The spring rates are good, and shock valving is also good. That lift does not include an adjustable front trackbar, which I would recommend for any lifted Jeep.

SoJersey I went with the 2.5 and am running 33's with plenty of room. The tech dept. told me that 35's would fit though. Like $teve-o said, I paid less then $800 with shocks and free delivery.

$teve-o Sounds a little expensive to me. I've seen the lift with shocks for like $7xx. 2500 aed is ($681us). But I don't know if that's just because (and I'm assuming because your using aed) you're not in the us...
