Thanks for the suggestions guys.
I think I have narrowed it down to the KC slimlights with the 100w driving lights up front and the 130w long range on the window.
I may need to get the rugged ridge mounting brackets as they look cleaner than the light bars.

|rics1997||If you have your normal driving lights and fog lights, what are the legal issues for adding lights to the light bar or fairlead mount. I haven't bothered wiring mine yet because I get getting conflicting stories about additional lights.|

yes, they are. it's a realwheels pre-runner bar.
because the lights hang from the bar, i flipped the reflectors in their housings so they are still right way up.

Warn 82405 - WARN 7" Wireless HID Driving Lamp Kit - Quadratec
All you have to do is flip the reflector in the housing. I did this on mine to ensure the beam pattern was correct, if it even mattered.

|KSCRUDE||I am planning on installing the warn 7 inch HID remote control lights. I am going to drill and mount them right to the bumper, TJ style. They say they can be mounted only right side up so hanging them down on a light bracket is not a option. I would like to wire the relay to the bright light circuit and just leave the remote on all the time and turn them on by the dimmer switch. Warn says not to do this on jeep vehicles because of the AC type current jeep uses in their headlighs. What kind of BS is that. Does anybody know if it will work this way on a 11 wrangler. I have read on her where some do wire them this way.|

|2010WranglerMountain||I used this type for the front of mine before I got my winch...I liked them pretty well...as far as wiring goes I ran my with the harness that came with them and made it where they operated independently on their own switch....I tried the high beam approach and decided I didn't like it as much...to each their own.|

|Mr. Sinister||as far as wiring, it's personal choice. you can actually wire them to come on with the highs AND whenever you want. i have mine switched to run whenever, even if the headlights are off.|

i like my IPF 968 lights. they have a dual reflector that provides a decent distance beam and a decent fog beam as well. they don't do either exceptionally, though. a good trade off if you're like me and couldn't decide. they also came with a pair of 55w bulbs and a pair of 100w bulbs. i run a realwheels pre-runner light bar.

Adding Lights to my new Wrangler
I am considering adding a couple lights as the first mod to my 2011 Wrangler. A bumper mounted light bar seems like the best way to add lights without obstruction vision or causing reflection—feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I may add some lights to the window hinge later on. What is the best type of beam pattern (driving, fog, flood, etc) to on the bumper that will augment the factory headlights and fog lights? Assume this is for general off-roading, not rock crawling or high speed desert stuff.
Should I choose to wire them to come on with the high beams will one of those stone guard plastic grids provide ample protection for a daily driver?
