If I read all of this right, I'm probably best off using one of the adaptors, because I have tow tabs for an Alladin tow bar on the factory front bumper on my '89 YJ.
I'm leaning toward the $189 jobbie with the brush bar.
Si, or no?

Are factory bumpers set up for a winch or do you have to have a mounting plate?
It's a 99 TJ.

WARN VR series Winches
Got an email from Quadratec this morning introducing the new VR Series winches. Anybody thinking about getting one?
I have been pondering getting a winch for some time now, but had trouble justifying the cost of other Warn products as I do very little offroading and may never use it. I do want one, though, just in case.
This seems like a great compromise. Reputable company, lifetime warranty, etc at a reasonable price point.
What are your thoughts?
