Bigc3031 I just had this happen and changed to Kentrol stainless black powder coated replacements. I did it myself but would have been much easier with a friend. Cascade4x4 stocks them.

computeruser Yeah, the hardtop glass hinges break from time to time. Not sure what kind of pot metal they're made of, but it isn't great. I'd find a replacement set and swap them out. My current set is disintegrating, and it was replaced in 2003, so they do last a while, just not forever like the old true steel ones on the CJs.

Lift Gate Hinges

Are cracked hinges on the rear lift gate a common problem? I've noticed some other postings concerning the problem but haven't found out too much. I recently purchased my first Jeep and have a cracked hinge. Found one vendor for new hinge set but thought I would shop around. Since I'm new to the "find parts" game does anyone have any leads on new and used hinges?
