4x4builder1 Ran out of angle so didnt finish the frame around the top of the cell. Welded a 2x2 1/8" plate steel to the floor as a base. Used adhesive backed rubber to keep the steel from rubbing the cell.

4x4builder1 Selling the old fuel system since at or below 1/2 tank it has cavitation and the motor leans out. Already have a new aeromotive stealth tank baffled and pump inside. Ready to go in place of the rear seat also going up for sale. Have the fuel pump electric water pump and new shrouded flexalite all wire to the fast xfi computer for better reliability.

4x4builder1 Hardtop and full doors are recent from an 06. Also installed psc extreme steering gear and new steering shaft. New tuffy overhead console went in today as well as brand new schoenfield headers to make more room for the front driveshaft.

That quarter-turn latch looks just like the one on the baggage door of our BE 58 Beechcraft Baron.
Great build, btw. I'm enjoying following this project!

4x4builder1 4.10 since I wanted street drivability but on the trail I have to shift the instant the pedal hits the floor. Found myself alone a few times when we were blasting some trail had to stop and wait for my friends Chevy, when he caught up he said he was doing 50 the whole time. I don't have a speedometer.

Ibuildembig What cogs are you running in that thing?
03-03-2012 10:21 PM
4x4builder1 Took the jeep out today its an absolute animal anything more then 1/4 throttle was just retarded. Need to get the tcase in soon got stuck twice in stuff I could have walked out of in 4hi.

4x4builder1 Got 2 case backhoe lights for reversing at night there almost as bright as the warns. There hooked up to to 2 switches, one that goes through the b&m shifters reverse switch and the other just constant on/off.

4x4builder1 New tailgate 3/16 aluminum with a compartment for straps and shackles. Lower panel also 3/16, still need the panel for the compartment and to install the latch.

4x4builder1 New locking latches can't wait to get a hood so I can use them.
02-27-2012 02:18 PM
4x4builder1 Not as bad as I thought buying a new hood for 150 and using the hinge area from this one to lengthen it again. Just got the rampage locking latches in today figures. A buddy taped caution tape all over the hood very funny he's got like 25 long zip ties on his driveshaft now

02-26-2012 08:10 AM
4x4builder1 Yup got the hood stretched and ready for paint and now its trash oh well had fun in some mud.
02-26-2012 08:02 AM
fabrikate_it Ouch that sucks
02-25-2012 08:55 PM
4x4builder1 Took the jeep out tonight to pull a Chevy out of a hole. My hood latches let go after I pulled the front end up and it came down pretty hard the hood popped up smacked the windshield frame. Pics tomorrow.
