There is no way the world car industry is going to sit on its hands without pigment until a plant in Japan gets around to rebuilding itself.
There have been reports of alternative sources being retained. It's just a matter of ramping up their production.

It would Chrysler paint options will be limited to those colors listed for the model year 2012.

And this 3 week old release has what bearing on the 2012 Wrangler??
The pigment issue (Japan) should be long resolved by then.

• Restricted dealers from ordering vehicles in 10 paint colors (brilliant black, blackberry, deep cherry red, redline, inferno red, bronze star, rugged brown, hunter green, ivory and billet metallic) produced at factory in Japan.
• Restricted overtime indefinitely at Brampton, Ontario plant in Canada (Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger) and Toluca, Mexico plant (Dodge Journey, Fiat 500, Fiat Freemont for export)
