Wr@ngler00 I tried turning my wheel side to side and isolated a creak coming from where my track bar connects to wheel hubs. It is a low pitched creak. If i grease this do you think it will stop? Cant hear any popping though.

1BLKJP Get down there with a wrench on your trac bar. Don't just try to shake it to see if it's loose. Your jeep has much more force than your arm does. Odds are your trac bar is probably loose.

calpher Look for worn busings, check for tightness and also check your shocks. Make sure they are tight and not leaking or have leaked. Look at the mounts as well. If you have a grease gun handy,...grease everything you can!

Wr@ngler00 what exactly am i looking for when you say check the parts? Am i looking broken parts or worn parts or just loose stuff.

calpher I would definitely check everything I listed above. It could be a u-joint, but in my experience they have always just blown apart.

Wr@ngler00 sounds like it could be coming from the passenger side.

calpher It could be...Also check your swaybar, tie rods and ball joints. Is the noise coming from any particular side?

Wr@ngler00 Popping is coming from the front. Think it might be front track bar?

calpher Check your rear trackbar. It may be loose!

Slight popping while rolling bacward down hill.

If anyone has anything on this i would appreciate it. My jeep is making a slight popping sound wile im rolling backward down a hill. I tried moving steering wheel side to side at a stand still and the noise does not occur. Im not getting any rubbing at all. Could this be my u-joints or what? If so how hard are they to change and how much do they cost? What kind should i buy? thanks
