Feel up under the bottom edge of the dash about 8" from the door-side end of the dash - you will find short pigtails with connectors coming off the loom.

|iceman2014||dumb question: this is my first jeep (97 TJ) and I don't have lights under my dash to illuminate the floorboards... Do I? Is it stock on all Tjs? If I do, they have been missing or burnt out since I took over ownership.|

Thanks for the feedback, Iceman.
Would someone with all-green LEDs let me know how the red in the dash comes across? I'm wondering if it would annoy me or not... Thanks!

All-green: Does the muddy red in the speedo annoy you?
I put the bright white LEDs in... I really like them as they are super clear and crisp looking... Like a new car. Also in center console - which modernizes the old look of the '97 I have... But I would love to do all green or all blue.
For those who have the LEDs all one color, does the lack of red annoy you (like in the tach and speedo)? It seems like I might be slightly annoyed by it... And when I'm slightly annoyed, I'm not satisfied until I fix it.
I'd really like your thoughts - please share! I might just go all-green or all-blue for a season or two... And flip back if/when I can't take it anymore.
Thanks in advance for sharing your opinion!

Anyone know the correct bulbs for '97 HVAC w/ slider? I ordered the NEO4 a year ago and they didn't fit, then I stupidly ordered them again last month

Got the red ones in for my dash and it looks great. HVAC IS still very dim. Probably not the LEDs fault. I have the sliders in my 97.
I got reverse lights too and they are great. Just white of course.
Easy and fun. If I can do it anyone can.

|JREDmoto11||Okay, I've tried skimming through this post and wasn't clear on what bulbs I would need to do my gauges, HVAC, sound bar and floor boards. Any help would be appreciated, thanks for any help.|

|Bullethead||Neil, great recall. I didn't think I had them until about 6 months later a bulb dropped down onto my floor bed. I looked up and found the cover cap on the Driver side. The passenger doesn't have the cover cap. which is why I missed it. I just thought it was something holding up the glove box.|

Passenger Courtesy Light housing is simply the power wire, running through the mounting and I see a copper end (looks like a nail head) with a spring coil around it. Not sure a wedge base bulb can fit into that.
Driver Courtesy Light housing is a bit more promising. I have the cap to remove, I then see a copper cylinder that I attempted to pull off / screw left to loosen, but i didn't want to tear it off if its supposed to be there. I attempted to place the new bulb in there but didn't feel anywhere to wedge it in.
Has anyone any advice / or run into this also? Again I will attempt to get photos for better imagery.
