extski Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping to get more details on the Jeep today, and thanks for the heads up about next weekend; I'll definitely will be checking that out.

just4fun That sounds like a nice jeep and its old enough for historic tags in Maryland which mean no inspection or emissions test. The fun part for me was buying a stock jeep and building it how I wanted. Its really up to you on how you approach this. After all why is it being sold so cheap is something wrong with it. I forgot to add is next weekend is the all breads jeep show in york pa at the fair grounds maybe you could get up and look at and maybe buy a jeep

Yeah, I've been up since 5am looking at used TJ's and I think this is the way I'm going to go.

But while I was looking for a TJ, I came across an 89 YJ really cheap. It has custom ford truck axles, V8, dual flowmaster exhaust, 115K miles with a full restore at 100k, 33" tires, and selling for around 2K.

What do you guys think, should I buy this or should I continue looking for a TJ instead? I already contacted the seller and hoping to decide today if it's still available before I lose it. Thanks.

extski Man, you guys are killing me. I've been debating getting a new truck or JK at the end of the year and keep going back and forth. First I was definitely going with a JK and created my whole custom list, then realized how much money I would end up spending on mods. So then I decided on a new truck. BUT NOW I find this post and some of your videos of going back at legore bridge, and I'm back to the JK again. And I moved to Woodsboro a couple of years ago to, so it's having me lean more towards the JK even more after finding out you guys are going out there and it's so close. Feel stupid now not even knowing about it, but I don't have anything yet to go four wheeling in either, so haven't really looked or asked around yet either.

just4fun You can also stay at the comfort inn. That's where I stay and its pet friendly. I am planning a trip to rc also in a few weeks or months not sure yet
05-11-2011 07:40 AM
snax The exit before it has a great 50's diner and an excellent Hampton Inn. Or you can rough it and primitive camp at the park. It is very easy to drive up Friday night and come home Saturday night.

Let me know when you want to go and I'll try to come with you.

patricks That sounds like fun, but I won't be able to make it. Now that I know where it is I would like to make a trip up there in the next few months. Possibly for a weekend since it is a 2 1/2 hour hike

Not quite yet. I still have to figure out what is up with the 4wd, need new brakes. Probably won't be ready for a few more weeks. Our son was born 6 weeks ago so I have been super busy with him and work..
