89JEEPYJ i came to realize i had a semi floater axle and all i had to do was pull with some type of vehicle or a axle puller and it came right out. but at least now i know how to deal with those internals

89JEEPYJ thanks for the link but thats not what i needed. the top and button spiders are out, and the sides are able to move all around but i just need to get this one dumb axle out. im thinking that the axle is pressed in so i might get a strap the quad and a tree and see if i can pull the bastard out

89JEEPYJ i lined up the new axle that is made for C-clip next to my houseing and its longer then the axle thats in there now, is it possible that my axles are pressed in??

89JEEPYJ well the hub part of it is bent not the shaft itself, neither side will slide out the way its supposed to.

i was trying to pull out the left side spider gear thingy without succes

4Jeepn I would not spend the time worrying about fixing a axle you are no longer going to run. The issue might be the tube itself is also bent, hence making it not what to slide for you.

89JEEPYJ is it possible that when the guy rebuilt my axle he did a C-clip eliminator kit and thats why i cannot remove it

89JEEPYJ im able to move it back and forth a decent amount, but its not even close to enough as i need. it is a freshly rebuilt diff, i dont know if that changes anything

Having trouble removing axle

ok i have a 89 jeep wrangler 4.2 with the rear dana 35 with a posi in it. a while back i jumped the jeep and i bent the axle and im finally changing it. i have the top and buttom spider gears removed along with the pin that holds them but i cant get the axles to move enough to get the c-clips exposed. on you tube they just push the axle in, the c-clip drops and then they pull it out. but that is not happening for me. any ideas that could help me, thank you
