eatdirt We saw a couple of subauru out there up to their frame last year! That was funny. We have been to the north end but was unaware of the south end.

ilmjumper Not now but I have. Sands fairly easy here. Stay semi slow cause it ruts out and you'll start bouncing like crazy. Seen super stock jeeps and trucks get out there no problems.

Doug Ingram Open diffs are fine, never had a problem, of course if you wheel with open diffs it helps to learn how to use brakes/parking brake when the wheel spins.

Are you guys running open diffs on the sand?

ilmjumper Sorry, got blonde for a moment, it's jvillejeepers.com however, when I tried to sign in it said the website account was suspended... if you feel like making the drive to wilmington, coastal carolina offroad (coastalcarolinaoffroad.com) meets up thursday nights at 8 behind the Flamming Amys Bowl.

If you..

If you have base access to Lejune, you can go out to the beach on the south side past the old fishing pier and wheel/fish/camp some out there. Might be able to get on some of the tank trails if you clear it with range control, not sure, I just hit the beach up.

Also on the very North end of Topsail you can drive along the New River inlet. There are a few good spots to test your flex, etc... plus its a decent fishing spot.

And if you want a long day trip, head up to the Outer Banks, you can catch a ferry to take you over instead of driving all the way up to Manteo and coming in that way.

Then there is the spots spoke of earlier.

Irongrave It looks like your about 3 hours away for Uwharrie national forest. Not a day trip but load up the jeep on a friday night head out there for the weekend go camping and wheeling maybe a little fishing. I love wheeling down there and I've made the 16-18 hour haul form NY a few times
