SilverTJMike Rocks move, tires slip, things drop down, it was cheap. I have on the other hand never hit my oil pan skid, go figure...

Hendog Steering box skid is pointless for me. But I may not wheel the same way you do.

SilverTJMike Not looking for a schooling on skids. Either lift the jeep or skid it up.

We have lots of rocks where I jeep so more armor the better
Oil pan, tranferscase and fuel tank can get dragged at the slowest of crawls. I would argue they are needed when wheeling at any speed.

Rock sliders keep your tub safe. Even corner armor can save you.

When you come upon an obstacle that is tall enough to damage your steering box you can turn the tire to strike the obstacle first. You don't have to smack your steering box into the obstacle.

I will pocket the $45 and slow down on the trail.
I see no reason to barrel headlong into any obstacle fast enough to damage my steering box.

To each his own. Quite a few people buy and sell them, just not me.
